Clextral will sponsor the day 2 of the HMEC – Extrusion of Plant-Based meats short course, on November 18-19, 2021. This event is organized by the FIE in conjunction with Foodstream and will be presented online via live stream from Australia. It will be streamed from 6:00am – 2:00pm ICT (Thailand time) – 10:00am – 6:00pm AEDT.
This short course will be about the HMEC (High Moisture Extrusion Cooking) process which is used to transform functional protein ingredients into meat-like textures called « meat analogues ». This is possible thanks to the extrusion technology. Clextral experts will make a presentation about their expertise on fibrated products and a practical session will be live-streamed.
Clextral is specialized in twin-screw extrusion technology. With this technology, we develop a range of fibrated proteins products made with vegetable proteins. The aim is to meet the consumers expectations both on the environmental side and on the health side. On the environmental side, it brings an alternative to feed the growing population of the earth while reducing our carbon footprint. And for the health concern, those fibrated proteins products are cholesterol-free, low in fat, high in protein and fiber content and rich in nutrients.
So using Clextral expertise to produce meat analogues will present many advantages :
- Over 25 years of experience
- Expertise in die technology
- Extrusion and product expertise
- Food safety
- Variable output capacities
