Aquafeed extrusion technology short course

Clextral will sponsor the first day of the Aquafeed extrusion technology short course. This event is organized by the FIE with Foodstream and the Centre For Feed Technology (FôrTek). It will take place from May 3rd to May 5th, 2021, and will be streamed online between 8:15 and 16:30 (CET). This short course will be presented in english.

Registration will be closed on April 28th

The main topic is the extrusion technology specifically directed at aquafeed extrusion. You will learn more about the principles of extrusion, the design of extrusion processes and the formulation of extruded aquafeeds. On day 2, there will be a practical demonstration to illustrate the explanations.

Clextral is specialized in twin screw extrusion technology so this event is an opportunity to discover more about it. With 40 years of experience, our teams develop technology and specific recipes for the aquaculture, for both benthic and pelagic species (trout, turbot, cod, halibut, yellow tail, sea bass, sea bream, shrimps…). In order to offer you the best technologies and innovations, we work with several research institutes around the world.

Clextral’s systems are very efficient to produce high-quality products. With this technology, manufacturers will have a high-energy feed with a precise balance of proteins, oils and carbohydrates, processed for optimum digestibility with reduced waste. These systems are perfectly suited to process a wide selection of recipes and raw materials.

With these processes, you will be able to :

  • control pellet density for specific product attributes (for example sinking of floating properties)
  • manufacture a wide range of products that are adapted to the nutritional requirements of the animals
  • perfectly calibrate feed dimensions from 0.5 to 30.0 mm
  • comply with the toughest environmental and quality requirements

If you are interested by the extrusion technology and the aquafeed, join us for this event. Visit the FIE website to have more information. Don’t forget to register before April 28th by clicking here.
