Over the past decades, Clextral has steadily consolidated its world leadership in twin-screw extrusion, moving into new markets and developing new applications. Starting with plastics processing, it branched out into food, inventing a broad range of applications that include breakfast cereals, crispbreads, snacks, pellets for cats and dogs, and feed for fish farms. This was followed up with moves into specialty paper pulp, cosmetics and chemicals. It also rounded out its offering to include production lines for semolina and pasta, drying systems, packaging and dosing pumps (through subsidiary DKM). 13,000 SYSTEMS INSTALLED IN 86 COUNTRIES Clextral's international presences stretches from its headquarters in Firminy, central France, to all continents, with bases in North America (Tampa, Florida), South America (Santiago, Chile), Asia (Shanghai, China) and North Africa (Algiers, Algeria). Its 13,000 installed systems cover 86 countries in all. In 2008, it will open an office in Moscow, with another to follow in Australia in 2009. Profile History
