Low moisture twin screw extrusion
Low moisture extrusion cooking is an efficient technique for manufacturing various food products like snacks, breakfast cereals, baby foods, pasta, couscous, petfood, fishfeed, etc.
Clextral's high-tech cooking techniques allow extrusion at low moisture. Indeed, during the process of extrusion, the food product is heated under a high degree of pressure, then gradually forced through a series of pores into another cooking chamber.
Thanks to this technique, the moisture contained in the food is reduced and the prepared food products are dried.
