Extrusion food process
Extrusion food process is a technique that enables the creation of ready foods within a short period of time.
A variety of packaged food products are produced using this method, including different types of breakfast cereals, protein or snack foods.
For the extrusion food process, the food product is heated under an elevated degree of pressure, then gradually forced into another cooking chamber.
Consequently, the moisture content of the food is reduced during the cooking process and the result is a cooked and dried food.
